For a while now, we've been hearing reports that Apple was working on a Hulu/Netflix-like streaming service. According to the press release initially obtained by Bloomberg, Apple is officially holding an event on March 25th, 2019.
The first significant streaming service to be released by the Cupertino company since mid-2015 with the launch of Apple Music, this is likely to make a push towards video-streaming.
Similar to Netflix Inc. and HBO, Apple will be focusing heavily on original content -- including films with stars, like Jennifer Aniston and JJ Abrams. According to the Bloomberg report, Apple has been working on this service for a few years and has a couple of dozen programs thus-far. It is currently unknown if Apple is planning to work with outside sources, like STARZ or some networks like ABC, Fox, or CBS.
Techlifetoday Co. will have coverage of the Apple event on March 25th, 2019.
